Terms

The terms for using this website and working with us on your project.

Last updated: 20 October 2026

These terms explain how you may use kingpinweb.codes and how we work with you when you hire KingpinWeb.codes ("we", "us", "our"), a website design and development studio based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. By using this website or accepting a proposal from us, you agree to these terms. If a signed proposal or agreement for your project says something different, the proposal wins for that project.

1. Using this website

  • You may browse, read and share our content for personal or business research.
  • You may not copy our design, code, text, images or videos to use as your own, or try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the website or its admin area.
  • Information on this website is general and may change. Please also read our Disclaimer and Privacy Policy.

2. How a project works

Every project follows our nine-step process:

  • 1. Discussion call: a free call to understand your business, goals and budget.
  • 2. Wireframe and proposal: we send a page-by-page wireframe and a written proposal with the scope, price and timeline.
  • 3. Design approval: you review and approve the design before any development starts.
  • 4. Content approval: you approve the pages, text and images.
  • 5. Payment and kick-off: the advance payment is made and our team starts building.
  • 6. Delivery for review: we share the finished site on a private preview link.
  • 7. Revisions: up to three rounds of revisions are included.
  • 8. Knowledge transfer: we hand over the website and show you how to manage it.
  • 9. Lifetime support: we stay available for help and changes, billed by the hour.

3. Scope and change requests

Your project includes only what is listed in the approved proposal. New pages, features or major changes requested after design and content approval are change requests. We will tell you the extra cost and time before doing them, and do them only with your approval.

4. Prices and payment

  • Payment terms: 50% of the project price is paid as an advance after you approve the design and content, and work starts once it is received. The remaining 50% is paid after you review the finished website and before it goes live on your domain.
  • Currency and taxes: prices for Indian clients are in Indian rupees, with GST added where applicable. International clients are usually invoiced in US dollars.
  • Third-party costs: domain names, hosting, paid plugins, stock images, fonts or other services are not included unless the proposal says so. They are paid directly by you, or reimbursed to us if we buy them on your behalf.
  • Late payment: if a payment is overdue, we may pause work or delay the launch until it is received.

5. Your responsibilities

  • Give us accurate information, and the content, images, logins and feedback we need, on time.
  • Make sure you have the right to use everything you send us, such as text, photos, logos and trademarks.
  • Reply to review requests within a reasonable time. If a project is waiting on you for more than 30 days without contact, we may pause it, and restarting may need to be rescheduled.

6. Timelines

Timelines in our proposals are good-faith estimates that assume quick feedback and ready content. We will keep you updated and do our best to meet them, but delays caused by late content, late feedback, change requests or third-party services may move the launch date.

7. Revisions

Up to three rounds of revisions are included after we deliver the site for review. A round is one set of changes sent together. Revisions cover adjustments to the approved design and content, not new features or a new design direction. Further rounds are charged by the hour.

8. Launch and knowledge transfer

Once the final payment is received, we launch the website on your domain and hand over access. We show you how to update your pages, blog posts and images, and give you the logins you need.

9. Lifetime support

After launch, we are available for support, updates and new changes for as long as you need us. This support is billed by the hour at our current rate, and we always tell you the estimated time or cost before starting any paid work.

10. Ownership

  • Your website: once the project is paid in full, you own the final design, your content and the website built for you.
  • Your content: you keep all rights to the text, images, logos and data you give us.
  • Our tools: we keep the rights to our general know-how and to reusable code, components and tools that we use across projects. You receive a permanent licence to use them as part of your website.
  • Portfolio: we may show your website in our portfolio, showreel and social media, unless you ask us in writing not to.

11. Third-party services

Your website may rely on services we do not control, such as hosting, domain registrars, payment gateways, email providers, maps or plugins. Their own terms apply, and we are not responsible for their outages, price changes or policy changes.

12. Warranties and liability

We build every website with care and fix problems with our own work during the revision stage. We cannot guarantee specific results such as Google rankings, traffic or sales. To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any project is limited to the amount you paid us for that project, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or data.

13. Cancellation and refunds

Either of us may end a project by giving written notice. Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy. Any work completed up to the date of cancellation is payable.

14. Confidentiality

We keep your business information, logins and unpublished work confidential and use them only for your project. We ask you to keep our proposals and pricing confidential too.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will first be discussed in good faith; if it cannot be resolved, the courts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, will have jurisdiction.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page applies to new projects from the date shown at the top. Active projects continue under the terms that applied when the proposal was accepted.
